Fixed Price?
Many oil-heat dealers press their customers to purchase a fixed-price contract, usually for a year, with your commitment to purchase your heating oil only from them during that time. Breaking that contract typically incurs a termination fee which can be in the hundreds of dollars. Rates in these contracts anticipate future rises in price, so you are actually paying all along for price increases that may not actually occur.
At Stamford Home Oil, we don’t believe in fixed-price contracts because you shouldn’t have to speculate on future oil prices and miss out on savings when prices are low.
